In the tradition of Marshall "Major" Taylor — World Champion, 1899

"Getting people out to ride bikes and discover that kind of joy and freedom — reclaiming the space."

The Legacy
In 1899, Marshall "Major" Taylor became the first Black American to win a world championship in any sport — taking the one-mile sprint title in Montreal. Despite bans, threats, and violence from competitors determined to stop him, he set seven world records and raced to packed arenas on three continents.
Venture Bikes carries that spirit forward — proof that cycling belongs to everyone, and that the next champion might be right here in Minneapolis.

Free street parking on either. The road does not drop down — you have to walk in on foot.
Head south into the park area between the two streets. The path takes you down to Greenway level.
Venture Bikes entrance is on your right as you reach the Greenway. Look for the Midtown Bike Center sign.
Schematic only · Park on 10th or 11th between E 28th & E 29th · Walk through Cepro Site park
Community
Venture Bikes is proud to be a tenant of the Midtown Bike Center — a community hub built to support cycling on the Greenway. The center opened May 16, 2008, and exists because of the generosity of these organizations. Thank you.
